Plant Operator (Level 2) (QCF) The course is aimed at those already having practical experience of Plant Operating, working in the trade and wishing to become qualified. You will find this qualification is suitable for you if you operate one of the wide variety of lift trucks in common use. You must have completed basic operator training in accordance with the approved code of practice issued by the Health and Safety Commission before you start assessment for this NVQ. To achieve the full NVQ, you must achieve the three units. Two units are mandatory and the optional unit is chosen in relation to the vehicle you operate in your job role and therefore tests your broader skills as an operator. Like all NVQs this qualification is competence based. This means that it is linked to your ability to competently perform a range of tasks in your work place. You will first plan a programme of development and assessment with your NVQ assessor and then demonstrate on a number of occasions that you are competent and knowledgeable in the work role. |
