Driving Goods Vehicle

Driving Goods Vehicles (QCF) The Level 2 Certificate is for LGV drivers who wish to show that they can operate a vehicle safely and work within legislation. It is designed with the needs of the goods vehicle industry in mind. It allows drivers to be assessed by observing their competence in pre-driving checks (including the useage of tachographs and also the monitoring of loading goods). They will be observed driving the cab and should help them to produce evidence for their portfolio by working with their employer. This also encourages them to develop safe driving skills and outlines good practice in unloading goods vehicles, coupling and uncoupling vehicles. The programme consists of units made up to achieve a number of credits for a Level 2 Certificate which is assessed externally with a certificate upon successful completion. |
